Eletrosurgery of the skin

Electrosurgery is a surgical procedure that applies a high-frequency electrical current to cut and coagulate tissue, using electrosurgical devices.

It is widely used in dermatology to remove benign lesions (skin tags, warts, sebaceous hyperplasias, seborrheic keratosis), to treat some types of skin cancers and also to control bleeding during surgery.

The procedure can be done in the office under topical or injectable anesthesia. Recovery is rapid, the patient resumes his activities on the same day and the wound heals within fifteen days.
